    I have mounted the Falcam unit on my plate that came with the manfrotto 502ah video head. Works fine, you can tighten from the bottom quite securely. Works good with my sony a6400, with sony 70-350 g lens, which is my largest lens.

    Yes and no. the falcam plate will fit into the u-70 ballhead well and can be tightened, but the safety device will not work. It can slide out if not tightened securely.

    Answer: The Falcam 38 plate ordered separately, and distinctly says “For PD Capture V3” will fit both the Falcam base and the PD Capture clip. The Falcam 38 plate that comes with the Falcam base/plate kit will not fit in the PD Capture clip. The PD plate that comes with the PD Capture clip will not fit in the Falcam 38 base.
